Fancy A Jump On The Hill?
5:30-10:30pm
Friday
22nd September on
The Market Hill just outside the hotel
A
200ft high bungee jump twice as high as the tower of
St Mike's.
Each jumper had raised sponsorship for the skate park and the first to
jump was fourteen year old Frances
and the crowd really got behind her, shouting and applauding, and
suddenly she was gone and
we were off. Youngest jumper ten year old Abi
went soon after and we then had folk of all sizes
including in uniform a "priest",
Special Constable
Graham Durrant who wasn't in uniform, Ollie Pasco who
jumped three times, two jumpers who raised the money to jump on
the night by going round with buckets, our chef
Garry in a kilt, our waitress Polly Handy, past member of staff
Jake Clutterbuck who did it in just his boxers, Callum who some
how managed to keep his hat on, a couple in tandem who were still
embracing even after they landed and so on ...
A smashing night that
raised a lot of money for the skate park
and
appropriately three days later work started on the skate park.
