... and the 150 strong conga line set off led by Vicky past Barclays, past William H Brown, round the back of the curry house, down the hill, round the town sign, and back up the hill to The Crown where there was the inevitable traffic jam to get back in but ... fireworks entertained those waiting!

New Year's Eve 2003

"The Crown Hotel Revives New Year Tradition.  At the suggestion of community police officer Robbie Abrahams the staff of The Crown Hotel began a conga round Market Hill just after midnight on New Years Eve.  More joined in until over 80 people danced in a line.  It seems this was a regular tradition in Framlingham - does anyone remember this starting?"
